Is a form of psychotherapy in which a group of people come together and discuss their problems, under the guidance of a psychotherapist.

Many people believe that only they experience thoughts, feelings, impulses that seem bad, scary or unacceptable. Listening to others who talk about their problems, can help the patient to understand that “to live” means “to feel". Therefore, the participants in group psychotherapy can offer mutual understanding, support and encouragement. They can find and offer solutions or advices for people who go through similar experiences; they can release negative emotions if they say why are they suffering, they can understand why they react in a certain way or have certain feelings. Also, a group therapy can help improve interpersonal relationships by encouraging communication.
