Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is the psychological intervention achieved in scientific and humanist spirit; in order to promote health, improve self-knowledge and personal development. She had the role to change the psychological factors involved in mental illnesses, psychosomatic and somatic disturbances and in risk situations. Psychotherapy is a form of treatment which shall take place within the interpersonal relationship and between the customer or patient and therapist.
There are several types of psychotherapy: psychoanalysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodrama, relaxation and hypnosis, systemic family therapy etc.
Psychotherapy can be done individual or in group.
The psychotherapist certification can be achieved in a psychotherapists training institute, during 3 and 8 years. The session of psychotherapy can be performed by psychiatrist and psychologist who have a specific training in psychotherapy, in accordance with national and international criteria. The training in psychotherapy can be also useful to social assistant, medical assistant, nutrition assistant, kineto-therapist, people who works in public services or in human resources department, priests etc in their professional activity, without obtaining a psychotherapist title.
